Tuesday.. Tuesday.. Tuesday

Today.. was a wonderful day!

Infact, this whole month has been pretty bombastic!!

Lets see, well I officially have a job interview on Tuesday at a beautiful salon in Parkville, MO! I am super stoked, I have wanted to work at this particular salon since I was a kid. Karen and I used to go running all the time in Parkville, over at English Landing Park, and she will tell ya I was hooked on that salon. haha... I am very excited about this.. fingers crossed! For the interview I have to take in 2 models, so 2 wonderful friends of mine are going to come to the salon to get their hair done! yay!

I talked to the Kansas Stateboard today, and after a mixup, all my paperwork is submitted. So, I will be taking my test very soon, I am super pumped.

Today, I went over to my dear friend Trysh's house, her, her husband, and their 4 wonderful kids moved to KC, which was super fun! Trysh and I met about 3 years ago when we were both in college. The past few weeks I have been hanging at their place, her youngest is the cutest baby ever! He is 4 months and so much fun! I don't think I have met a happier baby... Well I probably have.. but oh well.. :)

I went to dinner with my parents, a family friend and the missionaries tonight at my Uncle's Restaurant called Cascone's (best Italian food in KC). The Elders taught me how to fold a napkin into CHICKEN haha this will be a very useful skill in my new house.

This week is going to continue to be awesome! I'm going to lunch with Jade tomorrow! James (my brother from another mother.. literally) is having a Pirate Murder Mystery Party this weekend! And, Janiece is coming to KC Thursday to see me!!

As 2009 is coming to a close, I have made a list of things I am going to accomplish, "Resolutions" never work for me, I never seem to achieve them if I refer to my goals as that, so, if I have a 2010 "To Do List" I will more than likely achieve them! Very stoked...

So.. what I have learned from typing this post.. I seem to be "Super Excited" about everything, I think everyone is "so much Fun", and I have had like 4 random topic changes.

..... Now ... I need to find a costume...

Toyotas, Scions, Chevrolets.. Oh My!

So I have come to the conclusion that I am obsessed with cars. I'm sure this is not a typical girl interest. I can remember when exactly when this interested was born.

Back in 2007 I started working full time for a lovely NASCAR company. During that time I had just left Victoria's Secret, and was used to being around everything girlie. At first, I really had no desire to learn about Jeff Gordon, Kyle Petty, Monte Carlo Chevrolets, and Ford Mustangs. But, as time progressed, I found that I seemed to absorb all this information about them as if I were a sponge. I soon began to LOVE to learn anything I could about cars. I loved the colors, designs, models, whether or not they were an automatic or a 5 speed.

With this job I was able to see so many different models of not only NASCAR vehicles, but also vintage and sports cars! We used to go to the Rotary Club and see all the beautifully restored cars, sparkling in the light. I loved it! I soon realized that I wanted to drive these beauties too, but there was one problem, the majority of them were 5 speed. So, I decided to take the step, I purchased my very own 5 speed transmission car. I had NO idea how to drive it at the time, but after many trys, I officially learned how to operate a 5 speed transmission vehicle. I was uber stoked! If only my friend would have let me drive his Porsche Boxter....

So there you have it, I should have been a dude.

2009 is coming to an end...

SO, 2009 is coming to an end, and I have decided that it is about time I update this lovely blog of mine. I know Anie will be very happy about this.. (Love you girlie) haha anyway, it has been a few months, so here is a brief Reader's Digest version of what life has been like for me.

August 2009 - My friend started taking the missionary discussions, and I was able to be apart of that amazing experience. After a few weeks Christina decided to get baptized!! I was very excited about this, never in my life had I been apart of something so incredible, just to see how the Lord and the Gospel can truly change people, including myself has probably been one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had. It has made my testimony grow so much stronger, and has given me an incredible love for the Gospel.

September 2009 - I finally started to make new friends again! haha since everyone decided to go off and get hitched ;) It had been a little while since I had gone out and met new people. I will admit, it was a weird adjustment at first but, I did it! I started to feel like I had a fresh start. I decided to become more involved with the branch again, and to start going out again. It had been so much fun! We had scavenger hunts at Walmart, Zona Rosa Trips, Christina and I taking mini roadtrips in her new Honda Fit! and so much more. I was able to become more involved at school too, like Photoshoots, and salon visits.

October 2009 - Very good month! We participated in "Free Hugs Day" everyone went down to the Plaza and hugged anyone and everyone we could find! We also had Zombie day at school, everyone dressed up as Zombies and did the Thriller Dance in the parking lot! haha never in my life had I expected to do that! Did I mention they posted it on Youtube?? This month was a bit more relaxing than the others, with Pumpkin Carving, Corn Maze adventures, Halloween Parties, Dances, and Pumpkin Houses, I was able to just enjoy the Fall Weather!

November 2009 - Getting ready for the lovely Turkey Day! This was my last full month of school, and was I ready! I teamed up with a local salon in Independence, and was able to go and shadow and basically was able to get my feet wet in the industry. I loved the people and friendships I created this past month! I was also able to prepare more for my Stateboards.. which are coming up very soon....

December 2009 - I officially completed a goal in my life!!! haha.. I have been known to set a goal and never quite complete it, but this time I was sucessful!! On December 12,2009 I officially reached my 1500 hours which I needed to become a licensed Cosmetologist in Kansas and Missouri! I also was able to do hair for the first time ever in a salon.. and was on the News for it.. YAY! Christmas was also wonderful! My dear cousin Angela was in town and we all just played this whole weekend! The past few weekends this month have been wonderful too.. I have been able to hangout with old friends again! With Ugly Christmas Sweater Parties, Gift Exchanges, Christmas Musicals, Snowman Building, Family Movie Nights, and Christmas Parties.. I would say this month has been wonderful!

So there you have it.. my life from the last few months summed up into a Blog Post.. I hope you weren't bored by this, but if you are reading this sentence, then I know you made it through my novel!
