I want...

.... to make the most out of my life. I want to enjoy everyday as it comes. I want to succeed. I want to be happy. I want to know everything. I want to be a walking dictionary. I want to be friends with everyone. I want to have a big family of my own someday. I want to spend as much time as possible with my family now. I want to learn how to drive a motorcycle. I want to skydive. I want to be able to speak German fluently.. again. I want to see the world. I want to know everything about my ancestors, and to take their advice (from their journals). I want to see the Atlantic Ocean ( I have only seen the Pacific.. seeing the Atlantic from an airplane does NOT count). I want to learn new songs on my violin. I want to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I want to write a book ( no idea about the topic just yet). I want to achieve all my goals, and dreams. I want to have a ton of grandchildren someday. I want to sing in front of 500 people. I want to fly in a hot air balloon. I want to do so many other things..

I will.... make the most out of my life, and enjoy everyday as it comes. I will succeed, and be happy. I (you can't be friends with everyone) will be charitable to everyone I meet, even if they hurt me. I will have a big family of my own someday, and will spend as much time as I can with the one I have now. I will learn how to drive a motorcycle, and skydive. I am practicing my GERMAN again, so I will be able to speak it fluently (not just be able to read it, and recognize it when someone is speaking). I will see the world! I will learn as much as I can about my ancestors, and learn from their experiences and mistakes based on their journal entries. I will swim in the Atlantic, Baltic, Nile, Mediterranean, (all the big and small bodies of water) I will learn more songs on my violin. I will serve a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I will write a book, sing in front of 500 people, achieve all my goals and dreams, have a ton of grandchildren, fly in a hot air balloon, and do so many other things.

We only have one life, and I want to make the most of it... starting.. NOW.

Evacuate the Dancefloor

It's FINALLY March!!!

This means that Spring is almost here! And I will be 22 in 2 months now! So weird to think about. I know that this Summer, and Spring are going to be pretty amazing. So many new and exciting things! yay!

Life this month was sooooo busy, I have been learning so much at the salon, and slowly but surely my clientele has been growing. :) This week a few old friends of mine are coming to see me. Which makes me happy, AND they are also telling their friends and family about me. Our salon recently switched to a new color line called Lakme. It is from Barcelona, Spain. I was a bit intimidated by the change at first, but was excited to hear that I would be learning a European color line!! My colleague and I were able to take one of the educators out to lunch last week, he taught us so much about the line, and also did our hair! Which was a bonus!!

.....

JOHN!!! My stellar Brother, will be back in KC in 4 weeks!! I cannot wait. Even though its only for a week, but either way, its going to be awesome.

Last Wednesday was my graduation ceremony at PMTS, it was really cool. My family and a few friends came out to show their support. It was so nice to see everyone since it had been a few months and such.

Overall, life is really good right now, and I know its only going to get better, in ALL aspects.

Ps... Sam.... you are the best!!!!!

Nostalgia

I don't really have anything too exciting to write about, but I just feel like writing something.

Life has been pretty good theses past few weeks. Work had been awesome, I can honestly say that for the first time in a long time, I actually wake up every morning and look forward to going into work. I am very happy that I am finally done with school, and that I have finally completed a long time goal. I have the world's shortest attention span, and get bored easily, so by me finishing this, I was so happy.

My radio in my car WORKS! ... hopefully I didn't jinx it. This radio for sure has a mind of its own, which can be irritating. I just turned the car on and the radio was on! It had been a month and a half with silence in my car. That was intense. I just hope the radio still works, so I don't have to pay for a new one (knock on wood).

So far 2010 has been a good year, 2009 was a year of learning and growth for me. Despite of that, I still am grateful for the obstacles I was faced, because they have helped me to grow as a person. I can honestly say I am a completely different person than I was a year ago, and even 2 years ago.

Last night I went to my good friend Morgan's house with a bunch of people from the branch, we just all played games and sat around talking. It was nice to be around friends and such, but it made me realize that it is so completely different than it was 2 years ago. 3 years ago, I met some truly amazing people, whom have become like a 2nd family to me. I remember when I first started going to the branch,I met my dear friend Alyssa. We were both new and didnt really know anyone, but because we were both going through similar things, we instantly became close. Over time I continued to meet some amazing people whom I love so much, and am so grateful for. I never tell them how much I really do love them, and admire them, and look up to them. But James, Karen, Curtis, Savannah, Whitney, Mike, Alyssa, Anie, Gabe, Katie, and now even Jade (we just met a few months ago!) I am just so happy that I know you guys, we have all grown together at some point in life, and even though I miss seeing you guys every week at activities, and for some of you guys I miss our random roadtrips through Platte City blaring music, or Lego Nights and putting grapes in the microwave, or the fun FHE memories of capture the flag, or funny Sunday School lessons! Those are all great memories! I just wanted to Thank you guys for your wonderful Friendship, and though I miss the fun memories, I am looking forward to our fun, random get together game nights, pirate parties, etc..

Anyway, That is my moment of Nostalgia to my Married Friends

Oh Springfield...

So.. Springfield was AWESOME!!

Last Friday, after work I went to Stephanie's place and pick her and Sam up. We were all so excited for the upcoming weekend! We got a little bit of a late start, which I was a little anxious about that at first, but it got better. Springfield is like 3 hours away, and we were trying to get there in time for a dance that was going on. Our first stop was in Harrisonville. We were all hungry for dinner (we had only been on the road for like 40 minutes.. haha we are lightweights). Sam and I thought it would be super fun to talk in British accents, just to see what other people's reactions would be like. It started off well, and it was hard not to laugh, people actually believed us. Then, our moment was ruined by these toothless, jerks who called us "bi***es"! Wanna know why they called us that?? because we let them go ahead of us in line. What gentleman they were. Sam, started talking normal again and said that "hes probably having a bad day because he has no teeth" haha he heard us.. but didnt do anything. So, after our first mini adventure, we got back on the road...

My amazing radio decided to stop working a few months back, so I being resourceful, used an adapter to plug an IHOME into my car.. haha very classy. But, at least we had tunes for the road! So 9:30pm rolls around and we finally make it to Springfield! We got to the building the dance was at. Let me tell ya, we met every single person there! All 20 of them.. thats barely enough to make a mosh pit... let alone crowd surfing. We were greeted by my lovely cousin Angela (the reason why we went to Springfield in the first place) and began mingling..(you couldn't really dance without look awkward). That all changed... "The Cotton -eyed Joe" came on! (Best song ever) ,, everyone started doing the line dance version of it (none of us KC girls knew that one) So thankfully Sam had enough guts as I did, to dance around in the giant circle formation you have to make when doing the dance properly. We definitely made an impression on the other people, with all the blank stares and weird looks. I believe someone shouted out "You girls are DUMB".. .hopefully it was a joking way.

It got better though! Poor Sam kept getting called "Miley Cyrus". We eventually however did make new friends! After the dance was over. We all went to IHOP, I thought we were hanging out with Angela's friends, but it turns out she hardly knew any of them.. but they were all pretty cool! Once we finished at IHOP, we drove back to Angela's dorms, she parked like 2 blocks away ( or at least it felt that way). It was cold and rainy, and we had to walk... we did make the most out of it. We all 3 couldn't stop laughing hysterically because our stuff kept falling out of our hands and in the street! Very funny!

Day 2,.... the next day we woke up and went shopping at the mall! We also went to Braum's and got delicious ice cream! That night Angela fed us pizza, and we had a mini spa night. Just like in Middle School, only better! Sam and I walked through the hallways of the dorm in our PJS, and my leopard print snuggie! So much fun.

Day 3.. our last day in the lovely college town.. we went to church and then after leaving Springfield, I got us lost.. haha I had to call my dad (whom is the best GPS ever) and we finally made it back. Overall Springfield was a blast! And I can't wait to go back!!

Next roadtrip..... UTAH!! or St Louis

I love my job!

So life has been so wonderful these past few weeks!

Lets see.. I started working at my new salon! Rio Salon and Spa in Parkville, MO. I just love it! All the girls are so sweet and I have learned so much from them already. They have made me feel so welcome since I have started. Tuesday the 12th was my first official day at the salon, and ever since I have been super busy and loving it! It was very cool because Friday night the whole team went to Trezo Mare at Briarcliff. I am assisting under the owner right now, and she is so awesome! I have also had the opportunity to do my friend's and the staff's friends and family's hair!

Today was a very good day! I went to work, and Morgan Nicholson came in and suprised me! I did her hair and then we went across the street and ate lunch at Subway! It was so nice seeing her, I really haven't talked to her much lately. These past few months, I have been so caught up in my own life that I hadn't taken the time to step back and be around other people. It was fun. Then my amazing friend Christina, and her friend Carrie came in and both got their hair colored and cut. I enjoyed it. Afterwards, Christina and Carrie had going away party type of thing for the Victoria's Secret Metro North team. The store finally closed this week. Its sort of bittersweet for me because I was apart of their management team a few years back. So Eddie, Josh, Tim, and I went and ate appetizers with the girls. We then ran into our friends Autumn and Alex! Such a small world!

I feel like things are finally going back to normal which is so nice. For awhile life got a little crazy, but it helped me put things in perspective, and have a more eternal perspective on things. I am just truly grateful for the amazing friendships I have in the church and outside of the church. And my plan is to maintain those, nothing more, nothing less. These people just bring so much peace and joy to my life. I am way excited for this weekend as well, because my other super cool friends Stephanie and Sam are going with me to Springfield! We are going to stay their for the weekend with my cousin Angela! This will be my first mini Vaca in a few years, I can't wait! Haha my radio in my car does NOT work, so my cousin Daniel is letting me borrow his IHOME that is shaped like a robot, .. did I mention it dances?? haha So pumped!!!!
